Rosenthal The Malibu Estate Vineyard on Malibu Newton Canyon is a 250 acre private estate and is not open to the general public.
This Valentine’s Day, treat yourself and a loved one or friend to an exclusive opportunity to enjoy the magic of this breathtaking property! Join us for a relaxing afternoon of sipping premium Rosenthal and Surfrider wines. Sample Hnina fine chocolates and enjoy a guided tour of the estate at your leisure.
You will be treated to a romantic view poolside, from Mr. Rosenthal’s estate garden as you sip exquisite wines and enjoy a beautiful sunny So. Cal. afternoon. There is plenty of patio seating so guests need not bring picnic blankets. We’ll supply the wine, cheese and good times. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic lunch. The perfect Valentines Day with or without a special someone.

About the Rosenthal Estate: “In 1987 Los Angeles businessman George Rosenthal began planting vineyards at his 250 acre Malibu retreat, but only after he spent two years carefully checking soil composition, drainage, and weather conditions to make sure he planted the correct varietals in the most ideal locations on his property. The work proved worthwhile and Malibu Newton Canyon is now recognized as its own distinct AVA (American Viticultural Area) or appellation.
It’s an intense undertaking that requires a labor of love. The slopes are steep and everything from canopy management to harvest has to be attended to by hand. The wines are then aged in French oak barrels under the watchful eye of winemaker Christian Roguenant who strives to bring out their unique character. The reds are vinified with limited intervention to highlight terroir and the Chardonnay is made in a Burgundian style yielding a lightly oaked, crisp wine that complements a wide array of foods.”
About Mr. Rosenthal: “George Rosenthal started out in business in 1955 when he founded Raleigh Enterprises, a small general contracting firm focused on developing single family residences. The business grew quickly and today the company is a diversified real estate investment and operating company.
